Chapter 26
She turned to look at who it was and saw three young girls who looked like they should be in their early twenties. At this age, they were already so evil.
Seeing how attractive Rong Yue and Rong Xia were after they turned, the girls expressions became even more sullen. At first, they had only felt that with how shabby they were dressed, they didn’t want to enter the place they had worked so hard to enter with these kind of people.
“Was that a mistake?” Rong Yue asked, hoping to give them a chance at salvation but the girl that was leading the way scoffed.
“What mistake? We are clearly telling the both of you to get out of the way. This isn’t somewhere you should be.” As she responded, she squared her shoulders and then dusted her clothes dramatically.
“On whose qualifications? I don’t seem to see the security stopping us. It shouldn’t be your turn to do that right?” She asked with a piercing glare.
Somehow, even though they looked down at her, the three girls could not help but feel suppressed under Yong Yue’s gaze and stepped back slightly.
“You should not go around thinking you are more than what you are.” She warned and then pulled her mom with her and left.
Since the small stone they had thrown had only brushed the clothed part of her hand, there was no trouble and Rong Yue didn’t want to cause a scene here, especially since she was with her mother whom she wanted to have only happy moments.
.....
“Many people are like that in recent times, don’t bother about something little like that.” She told her mother while making a mental note to order new dresses for the both of them.
After that little scruffle, they didn’t have any hitch anymore the whole time they shopped and while her mother was more hesitant, Rong Yue unleashed the inner wastrel in her and bought so many things that the store’s staff had to get people to help them carry it out to the car.
“Mom, let’s get some clothes.” She said after making sure the groceries were loaded in the car.
“We have spent so much already Yue’er, it’s okay if we manage now, your future’s the most important.” Like always, her mother refused but was no match for her daughter’s convincing.
When they entered the first clothing store, the staffs and store assistant had a slight change in their appearance.
In truth, there was nothing wrong with the clothes the mother and daughter had worn, they were clean and comfortable clothes that normal people wore to relax in their house.
However, most of these high end stores were used to seeing their customers come in dressed in luxury and so seeing someone dressed like this, they felt a certain type of way.
On the other hand, Rong Yue had been known as the golden finger in her past life, even though no one had known she was the face behind the name, she had been respected worldwide with her designs and sometimes, she had satisfied the urge to reveal herself by walking the runway in her dresses.
Simple stores like this didn’t have anything to really suit her taste buds but she just felt getting some few ones to wear out for the both of them wasn’t a bad idea.
Ignoring the looks, she and her mother walked inside the store, she looked around as they walked and decided that she didn’t really see what she wanted from the first section and was about to enter the second section.
“Young miss, I’m not sure you can enter our second section.” One of the store assistant walked up to them. Her face was devoid of any disrespect, however, her body language was enough to say all she wanted to say.
“In there, any item picked and tried on has to be bought as they are our exclusive items, if you want to look around, it’s okay to look around in the first section already.” She added.
Rong Yue rolled her eyes internally as she wondered why people ended up acting the same way when they felt people didn’t measure up to some criteria they had in their mind.
“Leave the way.” She said simply acting like she hadn’t heard a word the woman said.
The store assistant sneered as she looked at them and then moved away. In her mind, she was ready for them to act out of hand and get detained.
As for Rong Xia, her mind had been unable to pick most of happened, especially since the girl had kept a very straight expression all through.
“Hmmm, mother, the dresses here are a lot better and they seem to have styles that would really suit you.” Rong Yue said excitedly and walked to a rack that had dresses for elderly women.
Rong Xia was still in her early thirties and so the dresses for her age group were a lot more sophisticated and free willed than that of Rong Yue.
But since she didn’t think she had anywhere she was going to, she made Rong Yue stop at just a few dresses.
After shopping to her heart content, Rong Yue was finally ready to pay. The whole time, the assistant had been following them and even noticed that Rong Yue didn’t check the price tag neither did the other woman check.
She was eagerly waiting for them to be surprised after all, most of the dresses there cost about her month payment and she still even looked like she lived a better life than this two.
The assistant was bound to be disappointed as Rong Yue brought out the card that the bank had recently sent to her and made payment for everything.
Not just the assistant, even the store workers that had been murmuring and slightly watching their every action were shocked that they were able to cover it conveniently.
“I wish we had the man’s number, it’s such a chore to walk down there again.” Rong Yue complained as she looked at the car that was still parked in front of the grocery store.
Pitying her daughter, Rong Xia spoke up, “let me have him drive here, you can stay here with the bags.” She suggested and the exhausted Rong Yue nodded, there wasn’t much that couldn’t happen, also, she was watching her from here.
“Young Miss, forgive me for earlier.” The store assistant ran towards her panting while she was carrying a small paper bag.
“Usually, a lot of people come in here just to take pictures and upload and don’t end up buying, sometimes, they even reduce the clothes quality by wearing for too long.” The girl explained with a solemn expression.
Rong Yue was surprised that she could own up to her mistake that easily.
“We give our premium clients a card to shop as VIP customers in any of our branches, although you haven’t spent an amount that qualifies for that, you can take this as an apology from me.” She said as she bent her head slightly in apology again.
As soon as she pushed the bag in Rong Yue’s hands, she ran back inside.
Rong Yue shrugged and kept the bag in one of the shopping bags before using her eyes to search for her mother again.
