Chapter 445 Rude Brat
Getting to the Zhang residence, Zhang Liling asked for her driver to be taken care of before walking into the house with a maid carrying her small travel bag while following her.
"Where is everyone?" She asked with a smile playing at the corner of her lips.
"They are not home yet," a servant replied.
Nodding in understanding, she made a request for a special kind of sweet soup to be prepared for her before going up to her room.
As soon as she was alone in the room, she made a call to Fang Bingwen to give him a heads-up.
"Don\'t cause any trouble, and don\'t get so riled up either. Everything will end soon." Mr. Fang reminded kindly.
The last thing he would want is for her to get into a fight when he was not there. He wouldn\'t want her to say any word she couldn\'t take back.
Agreeing to his commands, Zhang Liling ended the call, settled a few posts online to continue promoting her brand, made some calls about the new products that will be launching son before the partnership with FJ Styles, before washing up and going downstairs to have the soup she had requested for.
Checking the time which was perfect for people at work to start coming back home, she smiled to herself.
Zhang Liling at this point looked more like a villain than a heroine without knowing.
Maybe she had gotten so much invested in getting rid of her stepmother that she was slowly becoming bad.
Yes it was true that she was naturally not a calm person, but to become this good in plotting against other people, maybe the business World had changed her a bit.
Coming over to the dining room, she sat on the right side of the head chair. At first, she had wanted to sit at the head table, but because she didn\'t want to disrespect the man who wasn\'t her bone of contentment at the moment, she shifted to one of the chairs next to it.
Seeing the best bowl of thick soup sitting in front of her, she couldn\'t resist taking a photo of it and posting on her social media.
Done posting, she picked up the spoon and scooped up some of the content before sending it into her mouth.
As soon as the taste hit her tongue, she hummed in satisfaction. "Mmmm... This is so good."
Although she wasn\'t too surprised that the taste was fine, she was happy that the chef was able to give her the taste she was craving.
Just five spoons into eating the soup, someone came home. Shi Wenqian.
Stepping into the house tiredly, she let out a long sigh as Secretary Cha followed behind her with her handbag.
"I thought I was the only one being picky about things, but who knows that woman will be so troublesome." Letting out another long sigh, she walked into the living room. "I never want to plan anything with that woman again."
"Ma\'am..." Handing the bag over to her, they both heard the clang sound coming form the dining area.
At once, their head tilted toward that direction they both heard someone make a sound.
"Is someone back already?" Muttering under her breath, Shi Wenqian who was looking a little breathless found some strength and got off the chair and walked to the dining area to see who was there.
Lo and behold, she saw Zhang Liling sitting there and finishing up some kind of weird soup she forgot the name to.
Surprised with her sudden presence, she inquired about it. "What are you doing here?"
Hearing her voice, Zhang Liling skipped the greeting she was supposed to give
Raising her head, a small smile played at the corner of her lips which seemed very dirty to the older woman.
"This is my father\'s house. I can come here at anytime."
"Yes, it is your father\'s house, but I am the mistress of this family. You can\'t come into my home whenever you feel like it without giving prior notice. You need to have discipline and follow the order."
Shi Wenqian was very pissed. After a tiring day, she wanted to just rest, eat and go straight to bed, but who knew that that little witch will come over to taunt her?
"Does your children ask for permission before coming over here?" Zhang Liling inquired as she totally abandoned her soup for that moment to face her.
Already, she was aware that Zhang Xiaoling used to come over to the house sometimes without telling anyone, and she was sure that she never got scolded, then why would she have a problem with her when she is the one doing something she would never scold her children for?
This was one of the reasons, she must get rid of her.
"Of course they do. They are well cultured and mannered unlike some rude brat I can\'t believe I raised under my roof for a few years!" Shi Wenqian spat.
She had already flared up and wanted to so badly hit the little girl that had the courage to talk back at her.
Only if it was the right time.
\'Just some days left and you will go to your grave with your mother following next!\'
Shi Wenqian was sure that she had to get rid of Zhang Liling as soon as Zhang Mingyu\'s wedding celebration was over.
That girl was a total nut job and a brat!
"Hahaha..." Seeing her stepmother talking about her just like that, Zhang Liling could only laugh out loud since she knew how frustrated the woman was.
Choosing to wave the topic away because she had a more important matter to make waves of, she started.
"Forget it, I don\'t want to waste your energy by bickering with you."
"What?" Immediately, Shi Wenqian was going in to slap her face, but Secretary Cha quickly helped her back.
Using that opportunity of the struggling woman, Zhang Liling continued.
"I saw a very interesting news and had to come here to confirm it, but seeing how the house is still so calm, I doubt that any of you have seen it."
Shaking her head, she picked up her spoon and scooped some soup to send into her mouth.
Hearing the suggestive statement she said, Shi Wenqian retorted, "What stupid news is that? What are you up to?"
"I am not up to anything. Actually, I should be asking Zhang Mingyu that question. Does he still want to get married to the daughter of the Ong family? Hahahaha..."
Letting out a small chuckle, she faced her food and totally ignored the two women.
"What news?"
Leaving the dining area, Shi Wenqian was still confused, although she felt uneasy with Zhang Liling mentioning something relating to her son and the wedding with the Ong\'s, she thought she was bluffing and only trying to shake things up.
Wanting to be left alone, Secretary Cha stood at the same spot and watched her leave before trying to turn and leave, but met face to face with the smiling Zhang Liling.
Seeing the way she hung her fingers in the air so awkwardly, she let her gaze fall on them only to see that they were dirty.
"I soiled my fingers, I need to go wash them, but I don\'t think I would want to continue staying at the dining room. Bring my soup up to my room, don\'t put anything in it."
Without giving her the chance to retort, Zhang Liling walked away, passing two maids in the hallway.
Watching her leave, Secretary Cha\'s face was dark and seeing that, the two maids quickly walked up to her.
"Ms. Cha, do you want us to do it?"
"There is no need." Secretary Cha immediately rejected their offer. "She will cause a commotion if she doesn\'t get what she wants. She just wants to have fun, let her have it while she can, and now that I\'m still in the good mood."
Feigning anger, Secretary Cha walked to the dining room and picked up the remaining bowl of soup. Taking it with her, she passed the two maids from earlier and proceeded to climb up the stairs.
As soon as the housekeeper disappeared from their sight, the two maids scurried away and went to the kitchen to gossip about how haughty Zhang Liling was being.
Every time she visits, she must get them all on their toes.
Unknown to them, what they had seen was different. Something else was happening behind the scene.
Entering Zhang Liling\'s room, Secretary Cha placed the bowl on the table and waited patiently till she came out of the bathroom.
"Where is the camera and the microphone?" Zhang Liling demanded as she sat at the foot of her bed.
This was the only reason she had gotten her come up to her room without making matters complicated.
Earlier, she was only acting in front of the servants so they and Shi Wenqian wouldn\'t suspect that there was anything between her and the housekeeper.
