Chapter 407 Impervious
407 Impervious
Elliot smiled at his Dragon Apostles.
They were all powerhouses in their own rights, and their proud, prickly characters caused them to occasionally bash heads against each other.
Well, mostly the Chromatic Dragons.
The Metallic Dragons were rather quiet and they didn\'t really participate much in arguments, preferring to defer to Elliot\'s judgements and decisions.
However, one would be grossly mistaken if one mistook their utmost deferrence to Elliot as a sign of weakness.
In fact, Elliot suspected that in battle, the Metallic Dragons were actually slightly deadlier than the Chromatics!
It wasn\'t that they were stronger in terms of pure damage output. The Chromatics and Metallics were probably equal in that aspect.
But the Metallics were in general, calmer, more rational, and thus were able to make excellent combat decisions that contributed to the bigger picture at all times.
Or if required, advance the fight by retreating, which was something that the highly emotional Chromatics could only do with great difficulty and under strong advisement.
Their complete deference to Elliot was a sign of not only their loyalty to him, but also that they respected his intelligence and his ability to make excellent decisions for them.
"Dragon Apostle Golden Fire. You are the strongest among us Dragon Apostles. What do you think?" Dragon Apostle Purity said demurely which, of course, carried the unspoken words that Dragon Apostle Deathwing was weaker than him.
Dragon Apostle Golden Fire merely smiled and remained silent. He refused to take the bait and participate in the Chromatics\' endless arguments.
"Kai. What do you think?" Elliot quickly interrupted them before things escalated and steered the discussion to Kai, his Chaos Apostle.
Kai remained quiet for a few seconds before pointing at Blytoros.
"I do not think that he is the real threat." He said quietly.
"Please enlighten us weaker minded beings with the brightness of your wonderful intellect." Dragon Apostle Purity grinned and teased Kai lightly.
"His behavior is nothing like a solitary life form or even the leader of a group of life forms. In fact, his actions have only proven to me that he is but a lesser member of an hierarchy of life forms." Kai concisely explained his thoughts.
At his words, all of his listeners fell silent and started to recall their observations of the Wild Energy Blytoros within the context of Kai\'s words.
And almost instantly, they all understood why Kai said what he said. And were all suitably impressed by him.
"Indeed." Wu Kong agreed softly. "Rampantly devouring everything within a relatively minor radius around him, and then immediately holing up in here to create a bunch of robots that do not serve any specific purpose of powering him up further. It feels like an underling executing an order.
A grunt creating a beachhead, a little private prepping the landing zone for his boss to appear."
"His actions are definitely much too muted for a wild beast, much too long term for a solitary warrior and much too specific for an untrained soldier. You\'re right, Kai. He is the first of many. And if so, we need information." Dragon Apostle Purity nodded and said seriously.
"We need to capture him and read his memories. No, we need to interrogate him for his plans first before reading his memories." Red Dragon Apostle Xyrax growled.
"Dragon Apostles. Wukong. Kai. Send out your clones and capture him. Make sure they do not get caught. If they do, destroy them at the earliest instant. My clone will coordinate with you." Elliot commanded them calmly.
"As you command, Dragon Lord." The ten Dragon Apostles obeyed instantly.
"Jess. Send your clone to destroy the robots." Elliot said calmly.
"Ok." Jessica Sands did as she was told, and then they all sat back and started to watch the show.
It was a short and extremely one sided show.
Jessica\'s clone was highly efficient, and with a few high speed waves of her hands, she unleashed a series of spells that shredded the entire valley with space rips and managed to destroy all the robots!
The Dragon Apostles too, made an excellent showing and managed to capture Wild Energy Blytoros with their first coordinated strike!
There simply was no resisting the myriad of disabling spells that slammed mercilessly into the unwary Wild Energy Blytoros!
Kai\'s powerful Chaos Bind was the first to reach him, followed by each of the ten Dragon Apostles various disabling skills.
He tried to struggle with all of his might, and for a split second, it looked as though it might succeed in breaking free!
But Elliot\'s clone smashed the most powerful spacelock spell it could muster and locked him down completely.
"Hmmm? It\'s pretty easy to capture him. Strange. It seemed much more powerful than this when he was fighting my clones." Elliot narrowed his eyes in consternation as he spread his powerful senses far and wide around them to see if there was anything out of the ordinary.
But there was nothing.
"Put down another layer of disabling spells before locking him up in a spacetime lock." Elliot ordered the clones.
They obeyed and very soon, they took the red-robed samurai away to be interrogated.
Of course Elliot wasn\'t dumb enough to bring it to his location. Everything might be a trap, and he might just be pretending to be caught so that he could get to the leader.
Instead, he led the clones and the Red Energy Blytoros to another of his clones and pretended that he was the real body.
"Well well. You finally got yourself caught. It seems that you\'re not that strong after all, little man." Elliot\'s second clone smirked at the Wild Energy Blytoros as soon as it appeared before him.
"Well well well. You finally showed yourself. It seems that you are not that smart after all! Hahahaha!" The Wild Energy Blytoros laughed loudly before easily ripping apart all the disabling spells locking him down and exploding towards Elliot\'s second clone to destroy him!
It was all an act, and the Wild Energy Blytoros seemed to be impervious to all of their attacks!
