Chapter 13
“By the way, what power did you grant your player? Void Walker asked the golden dragon curiously. “I wasn’t paying attention to him previously.”
“Ha ha ha! My player is definitely one of the best ones out there!” The golden dragon boasted shamelessly. “I gave him’¦ Dragon Gaze! In addition to his superb reflexes trained in the vast grasslands of his homeland, he is definitely the best racer in this world!”
“Ughhh. Perfect night vision, paralyzing stare and practically unlimited range as far as this game is concerned. What a broken skill. Especially in survival racing games such as this world!” Void Walker grumbled lightly.
“Hahaha, of course! I only give the best for my players.” The golden dragon said proudly. But then he remembered what the Void Walker gave HER player and his countenance soured immediately.
“NOT AS BROKEN AS YOUR BOON YOU STUPID VOID WALKER!” The golden dragon roared in anger.
“Hahahahahaha!” Void Walker laughed loudly and skipped away, leaving the golden dragon to seethe in his fury once more.
She came to a handsome swordsman who was seated in the lotus position with his eyes closed. He was in meditation.
As the Void Walker was about to tap on the swordsman to wake him up, the swordsman only said one word. “Peace.”
“What? Peace? Oh you mean that’s what you gave your player? How is that even a gift worthy of a Diamond Sponsor? Are you short changing your player, old man? Why on earth would you do that?” The Void Walker pestered the swordsman annoyingly.
However, the swordsman remained serenely and calmly opened his eyes, revealing a pair of fearsome blood red eyes that contained a deep but heavily suppressed rage.
“Superhuman strength. Superhuman intelligence. Superhuman reflexes. Superhuman skills. My player needed no boost to her tools beyond what she already possessed. I gave her the one thing she needed to unlock her full potential. The perfect missing ingredient to a near perfect player.” The swordsman replied.
“That’s pretty smart of you. I didn’t think of customizing my gift to the player. That would definitely be more useful.” Void Walker remarked. “But my boon needed no customizing! He now starts the game with perfect knowledge of the future! HAHA!”
The Void Walker laughed loudly and skipped away once more, completely oblivious to the fact that she was leaving the swordsman to fight with great desperation the rising tide of anger from deep within his heart that threatened to overwhelm him completely.

“Found it!” Brock growled triumphantly as he ripped the anaconda’s thick muscles apart with his sharp claws. He took out the beast core gingerly with his mouth and dropped it in front of me.
The Hell Venom Anaconda beast core was as large as Elliot’s fist and it faintly glowed a mesmerizing light green colour.
[The Hell Venom Anaconda Beast Core is a catalyst to evolve Rare grade serpents with the Serpent Emperor Bloodline into Epic grade.]
“Ah okay. I’ll just keep it for later then.” Elliot noted and stored the beast core alongside his precious vials.
“Come, little master. Let me lead you to the lair of a giant Snow Wolf. Let us capture him and make him one of your tamed beasts as well. And because he is tamed after me, he will have to call me big bro! Hohoho.” Brock grunted with evil laughter, ignoring the fact that if his reasoning is to be upheld fairly, then he would have to call his own granddaughter big sis!
“Snow Wolf? Here in California?” Elliot asked in amazement. “I didn’t know there are Snow Wolves here.”
“There weren’t any for the longest time. But this giant Snow Wolf got exiled from his pack and drifted away. He came to this area many years back, found it to his liking and hadn’t left since.” Brock explained.
“Hmmm. Sounds like a plan. Where is his lair and how long do we need to reach it?” Elliot asked.
“He lives up in the mountains where it’s colder. If we go at my speed, we’ll get there in less than a day.” Brock said.
“In that case, I’ll have to get my sisters first. We’ll go after that. You won’t have any problems carrying the three of us right? Elliot looked at Brock’s massive frame and he could already imagine his sisters screaming and laughing in excitement with their hair flying about wildly around them as Brock raced through the forest.
“If they are all around your size, no problems. I can easily carry ten of you.” Brock boasted.
“Good! In that case, wait here while I get my sisters. I’ll be right back.” Elliot said.
Elliot got his hawks to fly around the town and look for two twin girls, the only set of twins for many miles around. He quickly made his way to where they were after his hawks found them.
“Jessica! Jennifer!” Elliot shouted excitedly when he finally saw them in the distance.
He hadn’t seen them for almost a year after he totally lost contact with them during the last apocalypse.
He had held on to the hope that they were still alive for the longest time. But after travelling from city to city, and meeting group after group of survivors without a single trace of them, he finally accepted the fact that they were no more.
It was a tough and painful realization, and it shattered his heart into pieces. He began to live recklessly after he accepted the fact that he was alone. With nothing to live for, he took risk after risk, which somehow all paid off handsomely and propelled him to become one of the top players in America.
“This time I will be the top player in America, and my two sisters will be second and third.” Elliot resolved deep in his heart as he dashed towards them as fast as he could.
“Hey fat bro WOWWWWWWW!” Jessica exclaimed as Elliot reached her and gave her a giant bear hug.
“Hug me too! Hug me too!” Jennifer squealed with laughter from their side.
