Chapter 667 A Special Guest
Chapter 667 A Special Guest
Damien and his women soon bid goodbye to the Lancaster Emperor as they made their way back towards the island they were staying on.
On the way, Lily asked, "Damien, since you took care of the problem temporarily, wouldn\'t it mean that Ruthren will get even angrier and come after you?"
Damien scoffed, "Let him…, and we will be waiting for him. The more he gets pissed off, the better since it would mean he would have a hard time thinking clearly. But since he is not like Dogmir, I doubt he would let anger cloud his mind. But he is still a man in the end. His plans have their limits, and whatever he did in the Shazar Kingdom could have been the ace in his sleeve since nobody knew about it."
"We shouldn\'t underestimate a monster like my father. He might not show it, but he is always a step ahead of us. It would only be prudent that we overestimate him just to be safe. Just like how you are holding a lot of secrets, he is holding some as well…and the egg could have well been one of the biggest secrets among them," Reva said with her brows pulled together.
Damien silently nodded, thinking that she was right, especially since she knew him the best. It was best to not underestimate an enemy like Ruthren.
"But that egg you told us about seems weird. How did Ruthren manage to come up with that? It isn\'t something that surely came from this continent," Yuria said with a perplexed expression.
"I also have no idea how he got that egg there. But It seems like that egg originated from the Old World. And one thing\'s for sure…what the Lancaster Emperor said was right. If that plague was to spread, everyone would die, and we would have no choice but to go out and try our luck. Let\'s hope we can use the time we gained to prepare ourselves for what\'s coming," Damien said with a heavy expression as the atmosphere among them also became a little heavy, thinking about their future here.
Not only would all of them lose their homes, their empires, and kingdoms, but there was not even a guarantee that they would survive what was coming. This only made them feel even more glad that they were having the wedding so early. Who knows if they would get such a chance again?
Damien was still feeling bad about what happened to the Little King and his family. He could only hope their souls rest in peace after everything they had gone through.
All of them soon reached the island, where they informed Irene and the other seniors about everything that had happened. Since the Forsaken people were being too careful by not going anywhere close to the cities, nobody really had any idea of what happened in the central lands.
Irene, Elor, and Marvin felt as if they had just escaped a calamity, all thanks to Damien again. Leon decided to work even harder to churn out more pills to prepare for what was coming, especially Ruthren\'s retaliation.
He also had a good idea of how dangerous Ruthren can be and the fact that he might be the biggest danger everyone was going to face since the fall of the Zirian Empire.
However, all of them were relieved that Damien had bought some time for all of them. They couldn\'t imagine if they would have even been alive now if not for him. For more chapters, please visit They were also shocked that his cultivation increased substantially within just a few hours. Increasing a single level in the Heaven Ethereal Realm would usually take at least months for even the most gifted experts in the continent. And yet this young man was able to do it within a few hours.
Elor and the other experts could sense that his foundation was not solid, but for someone like Damien, they had no doubt that it wasn\'t something he couldn\'t fix.
They seriously wondered if Damien was born with some special constitution, though none asked since they respected his secrets.
Damien sat down with them to discuss their defensive and offensive strategies in case Ruthren retaliates earlier than expected, considering whatever happened today. Even if Damien couldn\'t understand how the egg would be of any help to Ruthren, he could feel that it was very important for whatever Ruthren was planning.
However, Ruthren probably never thought that even if nobody could go anywhere near that sacrificial pit, Damien could.
Lily, Yuria, and Reva decided to handle the wedding affairs and not disturb Damien. They weren\'t planning to have the wedding only to make themselves happy but also to boost the morale of their people and let it be a sign of hope and happiness, especially after today\'s developments.
The day soon passed as morning arrived with people on the island still running here and there, busy with readying up the stage for the wedding. Lily, Reva, and Yuria were one of the few to start setting up things early in the morning. They were unable to contain their excitement and always had a beautiful smile on their faces, making it quite a refreshing sight for the people around them.
It was as if they were in the presence of beautiful fairies whose happiness and excitement rubbed off on them as well.
Damien also came out of his camp after a long night and looked around him with a subtle smile on his face, feeling happy that he could finally share a day of happiness with his loved ones…something he thought he would never be able to again. His only regret was that Valentina hadn\'t woken up yet, and he wished she would just wake up now.
However, he raised one of his brows when he saw Elor approaching him and asked, "Grandpa, what happened?"
Elor gave a light shrug as he said, "It seems like we are going to have a special guest…the Lancaster Emperor, since he wants to meet us here and discuss how we are going to take down Ruthren together."
