Chapter 124 - "WHAT THE FUCK???"
Madison waited impatiently outside the desk of Kravinshky International as the receptionist made calls checking in if she had an appointment to meet the boss.
It was a lie. She lied about having an appointment and as more time the receptionist took to confirm, Madison got more anxious.
And when the receptionist hung up the call and turned to talk with Madi. She huffed knowing that she would be asked to go home.
But then at the same time, the private elevator opened, and the people in the lobby turned to look at their boss stepping out with his personal assistant and a bunch of suit-clad men and women.
Madison too tilted her head sideways to see who it was and when she saw it was no one else but John himself, she quickly collected her bag from the desk and before, the receptionist could say anything anymore, she rushed towards his direction.
"You wait...hey, you??"
She did not bother looking back and straightaway ran after John. He had no idea of her existence as he walked down towards the exit, talking with his team.
All the people in the lobby watched her run like a lunatic. She thrashed her way through his teammates and held his hand.
Everything came to a pause as John stopped on his track and so did others. Murmurs erupted in the hallway.
John turned to look who it was and saw Madison, standing right behind him, holding his hand, struggling to breathe.
"John..."
She spelt out his name, staring into his eyes who were staring back at hers.
"Madison?"
The fact that he knew her name made the gossip intensify. People started giving them looks and both understood it.
"Madison Maria, I do not recall you having an appointment with Mr Kravinshky?"
Eric, his assistant said, recognising her. In fact, he was the one she first contacted to set the first appointment with John even though Eric thought the boss would reject but he did not.
"I uh...I think.."
Madison stuttered, not knowing what to say and it was at that moment, John decided to step in.
"I called her, Eric and forgot to mention you to fit her in my schedule."
Both Eric and Madison looked at him with eerieness. After what had happened yesternight, she never thought he would help her or lie about for her.
"Oh! But you are on your way to the new SCC meeting so..."
"Madison and I will converse in my car on the way."
John interrupted Eric on the halfway and held Madi\'s hand and dragged her with him in the direction of the exit.
The driver opened the car door, parked right outside the office premises. John gestured Madi to get in but she hesitated.
"What about my Audi?"
She questioned. Who would drive it back to wherever he was taking her??
He sighed and asked for the keys from his driver and instructed him to drive her Audi to where they were going.
"Give him your keys."
She obliged and handed the keys to the driver who walked away in the direction of her Audi.
"I will drive you, Sir."
Eric offered.
"I can drive him too."
Madi kicked in and both Eric and John gave her a questionable look.
"I used to drive Kian around so..."
Madi reasoned. Eric looked at John to what he had to say and after a moment of silence, he tossed the keys to Madi, who smiled and got inside the driver\'s seat almost immediately fearing Eric might stop her or before John changed his mind.
"I have transferred the address of the destination in the car, sir."
"Thanks, Eric. "
John thanked him and then walked to the other side and got inside the passenger seat.
After both settled in his Mercedes, and the front security car drove off, Madison started the engine of the car and followed the cars ahead.
With five minutes of silence and no one daring to start the conversation, Madi knew she was losing time as the destination got closer.
She had to explain to him everything and apologise to him for all of it. When they reached the intersection of the highway and the traffic lights turned red, all the cars came to a halt.
Madison knew that once they would reach the SCC office in two minutes, she would never get another chance to talk with him.
So she did what she thought would be best and buy her some time at least more than fifteen minutes to cover up everything.
When the lights turned green, she moved the steering in the opposite direction and drove away at the high speed possible to leave his security team behind.
"What the hell??"
John yelled, looking at her, shocked at what she just did.
"I know...I know. Just please give me fifteen minutes to explain everything."
Madi spoke out in a hurry, glancing at him and then back at the road ahead of them.
"You are going to make me late for my SCC meeting."
John angrily voiced out. He was not liking her reckless behaviour at all.
"I know and I m sorry but I promise it all will be worth it."
"How is it going to be worth it, Madison??? Stop the car....stop the damn car right now."
He snapped at her but she did not let go of the steering and pressed more on the accelerator to speed up more.
"What the...?? This is beyond the speed limit."
He said and Madi just smiled at him, getting amused by how much abiding he was towards the law.
In a moment like this, when, he should have been worried about his meeting, he was complaining about her driving beyond the speed limit.
"Do I look like I care?? I just need to talk to you."
Madi replied, and John rolled his eyes at that. She swore under her breathe how hot he then looked right at the moment, getting annoyed by her.
"And do I look like I want to talk to you after what you did last night??"
John implored, glancing at her as he recalled how his sister back at home narrated about her and Madi\'s love fiasco.
Their three long years of relationship which she broke up in just five minutes only because Delta was afraid to come out to the world about being gay.
He had witnessed his sister crying and breaking over it. He had to take care of her hurt and vulnerable self for months before everything was fine.
Even though, Delta never went out on a date ever again after that. And to know the woman responsible behind his sister\'s misery was the same woman, he had been crushing over for more than a year.
"I know you hate me and Lana hates me but you need to hear my side of the story..."
"I m not in my last breathe interested so stop the damn car right now!!!"
John declared, moving forward to get ahold of the steering and Madi struggled to keep it in herself.
"Back off John before you kill us both..."
She shouted, turning the Mercedes off the main road and to an ally. John did not give any heed to her words and continued to fight for control over the car.
When it was getting out of hand, she pulled the car over and switched on the locks so that he would not be able to escape her.
He immediately turned to his side to unlock his locks and Madi moved towards him and got upon him.
"What the fuck??"
He cursed, seeing her on top of him, sitting on his lap and holding his hands, stopping him from moving.
"I m not letting go of you till you listen to me."
Madi asserted and for a moment, John gave up battling and both peeked into each other eyes.
Nobody knew what caused it, how did it even happen but the next thing, Madi slammed her lips over his full ones, out of nowhere.
He remained static as her lips touched his. They could hear their racing heartbeats.
Madi let go of his hands and cupped his face, pulling in his lower lip inside her mouth, licking it.
John was hanging on a loose thread of his resistance, standing right at the tip of the cliff and would fall down any moment.
Madi pressed her body close to his, rubbing over his crotch and he groaned out as his hands held her hips to keep her in one place.
"Please, kiss me!"
She whispered against his lips and it was the last bullet fired and knocked John\'s antagonism off.
She did not have to wait twice, as he started kissing her with the same stamina and passion, she was to him.
She pulled onto his hair as he deepened the kiss, thrusting his tongue inside of her mouth and Madi allowed it...she allowed all of it.
Her body was on fire as his hands roamed all over her back and below.
