Chapter 94 Master (4)
Chapter 94 Master (4)
Li Ye waved his hand and Luke Sword flew back to his hand. He stood on a piece of broken wood with his sword, coldly looking around.
Those cultivators responded to Chen Jianghe’s call and came from all sides, but only saw decapitated Chen Jianghe. Immediately, they all stopped, as if they were immobilized by someone.
They looked at the scene in front of them with astonishment, not daring to rush forward.
“Ah... Master Chen failed?” someone asked.
“Yes, and he also died...”
“Master Chen has high cultivation and had experienced a lot in Jianghu. How could he died?”
“Master Chen is really dead. He had been decapitated!”
They looked at Li Ye with fear. Looking at each other, they all stepped back simultaneously. Li Ye had killed Chen Jianghe. They could not defeat Li Ye. Seeing Li Ye’s cold gaze, they all trembled and rushed back.
“Master Chen is dead. The mission had failed. Let’s go!”
“We’ll die if we don’t leave!”
“Let’s go!”
On the bank of the river, Liu Zhiyan suddenly stood up under the willow tree, staring at the river with an unconvinced gaze. Ugly Man shook and directly fell from the tree because of surprise.
“He... won?” Liu Zhiyan stared at Li Ye, “How could he win?”
Ugly Man fell from the tree heavily, but he forgot the pain. He struggled to get up from the ground, stretched his neck, and looked at the river like Liu Zhiyan as if he wanted to see through Li Ye.
...
The fire of the iron stove was still on. This was the only light on the hill. It was ordinary and not ordinary.
Liu Dazheng and the Taoist stood outside the courtyard and looked at the man in green robe in front of them, hesitant.
The Taoist finally couldn’t stand to wait for any time. He took a look at Liu Dazheng, deciding to fight.
As the strongest disciple of present Zhongnan Mountain, the Taoist couldn’t accept the result of the failure of the mission before trying. Even if the man in front of him may indeed have reached a realm of high cultivation.
Liu Dazheng slowly nodded. Masters had their own arrogance, which was cultivated by defeating countless people. This kind of arrogance, or self-esteem, didn’t allow him to give up before fighting.
The will of the Taoist’s and Liu Dazheng’s fighting was aroused.
But just as they were determined to do it, the gray-haired man in the green robe suddenly said, “He’s coming.”
“Who’s coming?” The Taoist was stunned.
“It’s me!”
At this time, the dense forest branches at the edge of the courtyard were separated from the middle and a man came by the wind. It was a swordsman who wore a white robe and carried a white long sword. His white robe was edged with golden line and was embroidered stars and moon on the chest.
The Taoist in a white robe fell to the side of the man in a green robe and looked at Liu Dazheng and the Taoist. His eyebrows were sharp, which showed that he was a determined person. His small eyes made his gaze deep. He stood straight, which showed that he never gave in.
He said his name with pride, “Nangong Diyi!”
This was a person who would be proud of his own name. His name showed that he had had a glorious story which made many people admire him. This name made him upright. (In Chinese, his given name ‘Diyi’ means first.)
Seeing Nangong Diyi who carried his Awaken Sword, Liu Dazheng and the Taoist showed their awe on their faces.
Obviously, even if they had never seen Nangong Diyi before, they knew his name.
Nangong Diyi glanced at the iron stove and praised it. “Not bad!”
Then he glanced at the man in a green robe next to him, frowning slightly. His eyes revealed his strangeness, which showed that he didn’t know this person.
But he still praised him. “You’re good!”
Because he also felt loneliness from the gray-haired man in a green robe, just like Liu Dazheng and the Taoist.
“Nangong Diyi, why did you come here?” The Taoist said with alert and his right hand finger moved, seemingly ready to fight.
“For you.” Nangong Diyi looked at the Taoist.
The Taoist sneered, “I didn’t expect myself to be so important that the first master of the Imperial Astronomical Observatory came here for me.”
Nangong Diyi raised his jaw slightly, “You are not that important.”
This was very rude and arrogant, which made the Taoist very unpleasant. He became angry and asked, “What do you know?”
“I know what I should know.” Nangong Diyi snorted, “For example, the Sanqingguan in Niushou Mountain once grew green lotuses.”
The Taoist became more serious and alert. “What do you want?”
“Bring you back and interrogate you.” Said Nangong Diyi.
The Taoist sneered, “You’re just in time...” He glanced at the direction of the Wei River and continued. “Nangong Diyi, aren’t you always arrogant? Now you’re willing to be Prince An’s running dog?”
Nangong Diyi laughed and didn’t want to answer.
But Liu Dazheng frowned and looked at the Taoist, asking with an unhappy look, “Who do you think is Prince An’s running dog?”
“I am talking about the new Prince An, not the old Prince An!” The Taoist realized that it was his a slip of the tongue. So he quickly explained, and then he became serious again. “Now it’s not the time to talk about this!”
Liu Dazheng snorted. “If you dare to slander Prince An again, I won’t do this matter even though I have already promised!”
The Taoist became more unpleasant.
“You’re Liu Dazheng, the First Knife in the Central Plains?” Nangong Diyi looked at Liu Dazheng and was slightly surprised. “How did you become so dark? I almost can’t recognize you.”
Liu Dazheng didn’t intend to talk about the old day. “Don’t talk nonsense!”
“I forgot you also was the disciple of Zhongnan Mountain Sect.” Nangong Diyi reached out his hand. “Well! If so, just start!”
Liu Dazheng’s and the Taoist’s imposing manner suddenly rose.
The man with gray hair and a green robe turned. Liu Dazheng and the Taoist saw that his face was ordinary. But he looked like he had traveled for a long time, which made him look more elusive.
He glanced at Nangong Diyi and said bluntly, “You can’t win.”
Nangong Diyi scrutinized the man but found that he didn’t know this man. This made him feel strange. The Imperial Astronomical Observatory was in charge of the Taoist sects of the world. The man had such high cultivation. Nangong Diyi should have known him.
Nangong Diyi felt stranger about this man’s cultivation because he didn’t hear that someone had entered the Spiritual Master Realm.
“So you want to help me?” Asked Nangong Diyi.
The man in green looked at Liu Dazheng. “I’ll handle him.”
Nangong Diyi said, “Fine! Let’s start!”
“There’s one more thing.” The man in a green robe added.
Nangong Diyi pulled a long face and said, “Can you finish it at one time?”
The man in green looked at the iron stove. “The farmhouse is good.”
“Yes, it’s good.” Nangong Diyi glanced at the farmhouse again and turned to the Taoist. “Let’s go down the mountain to fight!”
The Taoist sneered, “Am I afraid of you?”
The two turned around and walked out of two steps and stopped. Nangong Diyi looked at the man in a green robe and asked, “Why don’t you go?”
The man in green said, “I needn’t leave.”
His words meant that he wouldn’t make a loud noise and destroy the farmhouse when he fought with Liu Dazheng based on his strength.
The look of Nangong Diyi changed. “Are you really in the Spiritual Master Realm?”
The man in green didn’t say much.
Nangong Diyi and the Taoist didn’t ask, both jumped and left.
Liu Dazheng looked at the man in the green robe, silent for a moment. “I suddenly feel you’re familiar.”
“Oh?” The man in green responded faintly.
Liu Dazheng clenched the kitchen knife. “I don’t know your face. I’m not familiar with your temperament. I don’t even think of somebody when I see you, but I just feel familiar. So, who are you? Did Nangong Diyi ask you to come?”
The man in green said, “If you can win me, I’ll tell you.”
Liu Dazheng started suddenly.
He chopped at the man in green with his kitchen knife.
The Knife Qi was 15 meters high.
The wind screamed and the surrounding forests fell to the one side as soon as the Knife Qi appeared, as if a huge hurricane came from the feet of Liu Dazheng and would ruin them in the next moment.
The dust flew from the courtyard door behind Liu Dazheng. The farmhouse groaned as if it would collapse and be broken into powder in the next moment.
The Knife Qi came to the front of the man in green.
But the man in green didn’t move, neither did his clothes and hair.
He raised his hand and pressed down in mid-air.
Then the wind stopped, trees straightened, farmhouse didn’t groan, and Knife Qi dissipated.
The kitchen knife was broken directly into powder.
And Liu Dazheng couldn’t move.
