Chapter 155 - Follow Her

"Aren\'t we going to leave?"

Feng Po Po patted Le Fang Ling\'s back. They were getting stopped midway by one thing or the other. Hence, they had been stuck there for more than a minute.

Although, Nagina was not in any kind of serious problem of any sort, Le fang Ling was trying to help her regain back her strength.  Feng Po Po turned her attention to the arena and saw a familiar-looking girl walking to the arena.

"Hey. Isn\'t that girl the one who was on the hill with us last night?" Feng Po Po widened her eyes in surprise. She had quite an impression of the girl. Also since she was closer with Le Fang Ling, Feng Po Po remembered the girl.

"Yes," Le fang Ling nodded. She frowned upon this unexpected turn of events. She had been waiting to see An Cheng fight, and now that it was finally time for it! But she had to leave.

The appearance of the girl whose, almost every information was unknown had changed the weightage of the entire situation.

The girl had said they were going to meet again. it could be today, it could be tomorrow and well, it could be after a year as well. She was like an unknown factor in the world like she was. And now that she had encountered it, it was going to come back to bite her sooner or later.

There was absolutely no time to waste. As for senior sister An Cheng…

Le Fang Ling followed each step of An Cheng as she walked up the stairs of the stage. Her straight back and confident stand made her look as charismatic as ever.

"She is the one going to fight on the next match!" Feng Po Po leaned forward and exclaimed while hovering in the midair after looking over both of the participants with a thoughtful look. "Both of them are evenly matched in skill, so it comes down to the experience and wits," Feng Po Po nodded her head.

"Hmm, I know," Le fang Ling nodded her head.

"Are you going to watch the match?" Feng Po Po asked. "I know you were waiting to see hers."

"Maybe you want to cheer for her like those people," Feng Po Po asked as she pointed at the group of An Cheng\'s simp on the audience section. They were cheering for her at the top of their lungs. Even from the section of the participants, Zhang Wei; that boy was shouting out her name as loud as he could.

Le Fang Ling stared a bit at the arena and sighed. "She is going to fine, she has plenty of supporters." Her gaze fixed at An Cheng, she spoke once again. "I am, but one of the few who looks up to her."

"So you ar-" Feng Po Po was going to say more but she was interrupted by Le Fang Ling in the middle of her sentence.

"Let\'s go," Le fang Ling said in somewhat reluctance. But it dispersed in a fraction of a second as if it had not existed before. "We need to help Nagina," Le Fang Ling did not say more as she turned around. "We are the only one for her," she mumbled in a soft voice.

Without looking back, Le fang Ling made her way out of her seat, passing through many audiences who cursed her and hurled insults at her for disturbing them. However, to her, it all sounded like a distant cry of ants; insignificant and unimportant.

"Good luck, senior sister," Le Fang Ling murmured to herself. A smile bloomed in her face; one that was of belief and determination. "I will wait to hear the good news."

Following behind her was Feng Po Po who flew in the air, invisible to the rest of the crowd.

Le Fang Ling could feel someone watching her, their persistent gaze lingered on the back of her head. \'Must be from those rude audiences…\' she thought and threw it to the back of her head. It really did not matter to her what they thought of her.

The gaze lingered on for a while, that is until she reached the exit door. Once out of the door, she felt nothing of that sort. She shrugged off the doubts inside her head and fastened her steps towards her residential home. It was comparatively nearer than the other places she had in her mind.

"Where is she going?" Le Laoling raised his eyebrows in a hooked arc as he followed the tiny figure of his sister…well, technically, his stepsister.  He had been keeping his eyes focused on her ever since the beginning of the first match. Everything was fine but she disappeared for five minutes. He had thought she was going to the washroom and did not think much of it.

But now, she was again going somewhere. To him, this opinion was extremely suspicious. Ever since he was insulted by his father and compared to Le Fang Ling, he had vowed to make that stupid girl regret ever being born in this world. This match was one of the perfect places to teach her lesson but looking at where she was seated, he realized she had not taken part in the tournament.

\'Fuck that dumb shit! I should have known more that she can\'t make it to the tournament,\' he thought in contempt and spite. His heavy and chubby face, full of fats twisted to form an angry frown.

"Young master," one of the boys who was standing right next to him asked in a concerned voice. Yes, concerned but for his own life and security. Knowing Le Lao ling, the anger he was showing was a sign that danger was near. "Ahem, are you okay?" he asked after clearing his throat yet, his voice could not help but squeak.

"Hmm?" Le Lao Ling looked at the boy with red eyes. One could see the vein pop up in the whites of his eyeball. He was ANGRY Af!

"N-nothing," the boy trembled a bit at the face of the young master of Le Family. Even though he was the same year and same class as Le Lao Ling, he still trembled at the sight of him. It was his status as the son of the southern lord that made him scarier.

"I-I think I will go get something to drink," the boy had nothing to say so he came up with an excuse as fast as he could, without waiting for him to reply, he turned to walk away.  Through however means, he wanted to be away from him.

"Hey, you…" Le Lao Ling tapped him on his back. The guy froze on his step. Without turning back, he nodded his head in response to the call. He was too scared at the moment to reply to him.

"Didn\'t you fight in the third match?" Le Laoling asked looking at the back of his neck. "Your head looks painfully familiar from the back."

"…"

"Y-Yes, I did," he managed to speak after swallowing down the saliva on his throat. "I lost the match though."

"Hmm," Le Loa ling said nothing as he continued to think in silence, his hand was still grabbing the man by his back. "Another loser I see, not a surprise."

"I knew I saw you there," he said with a look of contempt and disgust. He pulled back his hand and wiped it with a handkerchief. "Not that I expected anyone to win anyway." There was open mockery and sarcasm in his voice.

The boy trembled a bit, this time in anger but he held it inside him. After all, the young master was indeed true. He did not win the match and he alone was to blame for all of it.

Even if he tried to fight back, there was no use. With his palm balled up in a fist, he stood in silence.

"You said you were going to drink water?" Le Lao Ling said as he looked at the disappearing figure of Le Fang ling.

The boy nodded his head.

"Forget drinking water, I have some work for you," Le Lao ling said as he curled up his lips in a smile. A glint flashed in his eyes but that was more than enough to make the boy weak at his knees.

\'Momma! I want to come home!\' He cried inwardly as he stood stiff, waiting for the young master to spill out whatever evil task he was supposed to do.

"It\'s nothing that hard," Le Lao Ling sighed as he took out a small paper from his spatial ring.

"Isn\'t that…" the boy gasped as soon as he saw the thin sheet of paper on his hands. There, papers were as rare as any magical core. Most of the books were written on parchment which was usually of lower quality. There were clay tablets to keep records as well.

"Hmph," Le Lao Ling clicked his tongue haughtily as he closed his eyes. The paper he was holding in his hand was not an ordinary picture. The paper was a special magical artifact that allowed whoever the user was to imprint the image they had in their mind.

Le Lao Ling circulated qi to the paper. As soon as his concentration of qi was enough, the paper glowed in bright light.

In the paper, there were dim lines that slowly turned more vivid until an image of a woman appeared on it.

"You will see this girl at the northern exit," he said in a stern voice. \'Follow her but make sure she doesn\'t see your shadow or sense your presence."

"Got it!"
