Chapter 138 Unleashed
Zayn heard many rumors about the Dragontale Twin Sabers and the Artifacts he had commissioned from Titan. All these rumors in addition to the fact that he had been rewarded with the Silvermoon Bracelet, a God\'s Era Artifact, were more than enough reason for Mercenaries and all kinds of Adventurers to feel like attacking him.
In their eyes, he was just a treasure trove, a disgusting Normie, who didn\'t deserve to wield these treasures in the first place, or a pest that had to be removed.
Of course, that was not something he had to be bothered about.
Everyone daring enough to attack him had to face the consequences. These consequences were quite simple.
It was death!
Zayn released the Armaments and Artifacts he had commissioned from Blacksmith Titan, and it was just a moment later that his Spirits were summoned as well.
They emerged from within golden portals that manifested in the ground or above the surface.
The Herculean Human Spirit, the bulky two-meter-tall colossus, emerged inside the Shrilariat Heavy Armor set that shrunk in size to fit its body perfectly.
Herculean\'s hands reached out for the Aegis Shield Artifact and the Mace Artifact. They lay perfectly in the Human Spirit\'s hands, and it was only a second or two later that he charged into the masses of the baffled Blessed.
Herculean swung the Mace at the Blessed whose bones broke as if they were twigs that had been stepped on, and their bodies were flung around, unable to do anything against the terrific power of the Herculean Human Spirit that had filled a third of its second Soulring.
Herculean was trying hard to injure the Blessed severely but not enough to kill them. He aimed at their arms and legs to make sure that they wouldn\'t be able to continue fighting after a single attack.
The other Spirits were the same. They weren\'t allowed to kill their prey. Zayn would have to kill them in order to earn the ownerless soul particles of the Blessed, and he was not willing to give up on the power he could earn from 400 Soul Wisps.
Of course, it was impossible to prevent casualties. After all, Glutton could only release energy balls with enough power to shoot head-sized holes into the opponent\'s body. Glutton had yet to learn how to aim precisely. It released the energy balls instinctively and ended up killing more opponents with a single attack than it intended.
That was the power of a Spirit with more than 40% of its second Soulring completed.
The Mocalw Bear Spirit was not less destructive than Herculean. It had manifested in the Shrilariat Heavy Armor and wore the Antler Helmet which increased its attack power drastically. The Spirit whose height and length were that of a Moose and whose claws and highly resilient fur were that of a Bear, was extremely powerful. It might have the weakest talent, after the Sparrow Spirits, but its physical strength was not something one should underestimate.
Mocalw charged through the rows of Blessed, causing chaos and distress. The sudden appearance of the Spirits came as a great surprise. Nobody expected the tides to change like this, and many Blessed quickly regretted having joined the mission to \'earn a quick buck\'.
This feeling only intensified with the emergence of Agile, the 1.6-meter-tall Human Spirit wielding the Dagger Artifacts and the Elvia Leather Armor, and the two newest members of Zayn\'s party; Saber and Tank.
Tank, the Heavy Armored Bull Spirit was the fastest at absorbing soul particles. It had already finished two third of its second Soulring and didn\'t hesitate to show its terrific combat power to the shocked Blessed.
Tank materialized the Spirit Armor, a golden Armor that coated the Spirit completely, consuming some soul particles every few seconds and it charged straight through the defense line of the Blessed, bulldozing everything in its way.
This, and the distraction caused by Herculean, Mocalw, and Glutton was more than enough for Agile to slip to the back of the Blessed, and start their massacre from behind.
Saber, the Blazing Sabertooth Tiger, released a searing hot flame to set a mercenary ablaze before it pounced at the Mercenary, tearing apart his leather armor and chest.
The Apex predator was finally free once again and it was time to take revenge on anyone who was remotely related to the suffering it had faced for a whole decade.
Saber\'s long and dagger-like canine fangs dug deep into the neck of the next opponent. The Sabertooth Tiger threw the dead body of its prey aside and continued to attack, showing no sign of hesitation as a dozen mercenaries charged at it at the same time.
Spirits had infinite Stamina and they wouldn\'t die for real. There were only a few means that could be used to obliterate Zayn\'s Spirits. Thus, there was no need to fear death. They would just be pulled back into the Grimoire of the Ancient once their soul particles were drained.
But that was not something they had to be worried about, not right now, and not against the opponents they faced.
Only a hundred Blessed could be considered somewhat dangerous to the Spirits. However, even they were far from strong enough to face someone like Merlin. Most of the Soul Knights were retired and rusty, to begin with. Seemingly immortal Spirits wielding Artifacts and fighting valiantly, reckless charging at their opponents, was not something the retired Adventurers could handle.
And as if these Spirits were not enough yet, there were still two Sparrow Spirits that released fire needles from the sky, piercing the exposed necks of the Blessed that didn\'t pay too much attention to the sky.
Even if the Sparrow Spirits were not even strong enough to kill the Blessed whose necks they had targeted and hit, their attacks were great means of distraction, and quite painful as well!
This distraction was more than enough for Zayn to make use of. He didn\'t hesitate to join the middle of the battle as well. His party faced an overwhelming number of opponents at the same time, with each of their possession great powers.
However, Zayn had Immortal Spirits wielding Artifacts by his side.
Furthermore, it was not as if he was weak himself.
If he could defeat a Chimera while being at the Peak of the Soul Squire rank, it shouldn\'t be too difficult to face a few hundred pseudo-veteran Adventurers!
